Australian National Parks - What are the best to visit?

Gondwana is the ancient name of the huge mass of land Africa, Australia, India, Antarctica and South America made it. About 100 million years before the crowd melts to individual countries to form. Australia is one of those countries and is one of the driest continents in the world.

Today there are 516 national parks in Australia for 3% of the country. This may not much, but given the size of Australia, is 25 million acres!

The parks are lookedby state governments, but there are some national parks that are considered so important that they are cared for by the federal government.

No visit to Australia is complete without a visit to at least one national park. Most of his famous natural attractions of the park, anyway, so by default you will end your visit.

What are the best times to visit the national parks? It is certainly possible to visit or read about the 516th all I will say this, what are myFavorites.

First, a bit 'more than basic information on National Parks. They can be very large and often have the status of national park for its cave paintings (Uluru Kata Tjuta - Ayers Rock) has acquired specific plants or trees or animals. The average visitor gets only a small pocket park to visit because of its size, but there are others that are more manageable because they are smaller.

Typically you will be asked to pay an entrance fee. Admission is either per person or perVehicle. Her skirt is usually not much (about $ 10 per person), but can be very expensive in popular areas such as Ayers. The passport is valid for 48 hours.

Would you like to camp in National Parks?

There is nothing better than camping in some of the most beautiful scenery in Australia. This is for you if you like the outdoors and are not afraid of snakes and spiders (which is not so bad, really!) Most parks are special areas for camping, with strict rules against fireRisk of forest fires. Do not expect the luxury of hot water, though. The plants are usually very simple, but there are some that offer coin-operated hot showers.

You generally need a permit to camp in national parks and places are limited. In summer it can sometimes be difficult to find parking, so you must book well in advance. The government websites, you can search for campsites. Note that you must do this for every stateSince the parks are managed by the state government. At Christmas, when it is really busy running some of the national parks, a ballot system. If the name is out of the hat, you're one of the lucky (this is, as in the Freycinet National Park in the works of Tasmania)

It can be a bit 'of Australia's most beautiful National Parks to visit selected subjectively. Here is my Top 3, but the site below for more information on more than 15 major Australian NationalParks.

Best for the beach and coastal views

If you are looking for perfect beauty, then the head of Lord Howe, Iceland. And 'one of the few islands of Australia are awarded a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Beaches, the day according to the summit of Mount Gower is the largest known marine speciesone of the finest day hikes in Australia. You can also visit the valley of the shadow of 40 feet high woods on foot and walk to Kim's observation tower and enjoy the view over the lagoon and the island.

Best of Christian rock formations

Ayers Rock Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park is only a top-3 function. Most come to visit the rock. Did you know that its also on the World Heritage List? Around the rocks to make sure that the platform (just take the car) shouldor at dawn or dusk. The light in these times makes the rock is particularly surprising. You can also pay to have lunch or breakfast with a view of the rocks in these periods. But there are actually two rock formations of the park. The second is the Olgas, and that was my opinion even more impressive as Ayers Rock. Be sure to visit both, but you make the first stop at the Cultural Center is the great information on guided tours and the possibility of some Aborigines. Mostsightseeing tour is the basis Walk. It takes one around the base of the rocks and everything takes about 3 hours. Please do not climb the rock though. E 'against the indigenous customs and beliefs.

The Grampians National Park, 260 km from Melbourne is one of the most popular parks in Victoria. To get there, you have to take Glenelg or Western Highway to Melbourne and the journey takes about 3.5 hours. There is much to see and do in addition to the Grampians is (aA series of sandstone ridges with steep slopes.) Try a hike of 2 days or Mount sharp for the best view of the park Mackenzie is very popular, but when you leave the path that you want to go further in the park Halls Gap. Try Wartook Valley (Mount Zero and Mt Stapylton) or strenuous for something, go for the Monte difficult.
